Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • Raw rice 1 cup


  • Moongdal 1/2 cup


  • Jaggery 250gms


  • Water 4 cups


  • Cashews 6


  • Raisins 1/2 handful


  • Cardamom 4

Directions

  • Cook rice and moongdal together with water in a cooker upto 7 whistles.
  • Boil jaggery with little water and filter it to remove muds.
  • After opening the cooker add the jaggery syrup.
  • Fry cashews and raisins in the ghee and add it to the cooked rice.
  • Add powdered cardamom and mix everything well.
  • If necessary we can add some milk to obtain the required consistency.
